In Erin Ferguson's insightful article, Witchcore Aesthetic – Explaining the Trend from Fashion to Decor, she investigates the world of Witchcore, shedding light on its essence and influence. Witchcore, as she describes it, is more than just a passing trend—it's an aesthetic movement that encapsulates ancient practices, a deep connection with nature, and an infusion of gothic style. The term "Witchcore" emerged on TikTok several years ago and quickly became popular on various social media platforms. What makes Witchcore so interesting is its ability to encompass a wide range of elements, including fashion, decor, music, spells, and a broader lifestyle ethos. Witchcore is divided between two subcategories: Dark and light. The dark side of Witchcore leans towards Gothic, punk, and Victorian influences. It exudes an aura of mystery and enchantment, drawing inspiration from the darker aspects of witchcraft and occultism. On the other hand, the light side of Witchcore takes on a more earthy and ethereal approach. It embraces nature, natural elements, and ethereal aesthetics, creating a harmonious connection with the mystical and spiritual realms. It's remarkable to witness the immense popularity of Witchcore on platforms like TikTok, where the hashtag Witchcore has amassed over 100 million views. This serves as a testament to the wide-reaching appeal and resonance of this aesthetic movement. Beyond its visual allure, Witchcore carries a deeper significance. It revolves around themes of self-care, energy harnessing, and a fascination with the unknown. It provides a space for individuals to explore their own spirituality, express their individuality, and tap into ancient wisdom and practices. Witchcore is a tapestry woven with threads of mysticism, nature, and self-discovery. It invites us to embrace our inner magic, cultivate our connection with the natural world, and embark on a transformative journey of self-exploration. Whether you're drawn to the darker or lighter aspects, Witchcore offers a pathway to express your unique identity and embrace the allure of the witch within. I'll discuss this further after you listen to It's Not Pagan! by Pagan Rap Gang.

Time for another Spirit Guide of the Week. We're back in Ancient Egypt to talk about the Goddess Hathor. She's the primordial sky spirit, a matron goddess of women and all females of any species. Mistress of the sky and stars, Hathor embodies joy, love, dance, alcohol, and perfume. She also has dominion over sex, birth, pleasure, intoxication, magic, music, and death. Depending on the source, she may be the consort to Horus or the Sun God Ra, or the mother of Horus. Hathor is also considered Ra's feminine counterpart. Additionally, she is one of several goddesses who served as the Eye of Ra. Hathor is often depicted wearing a headdress with cow's horns and a sun disk. Since the Milky Way sprouted from her breasts, she is also known as the celestial cow. She can also be represented as a lioness, a cobra, and a sycamore tree. On your altar, you can offer Hathor the following: two mirrors, beer or wine, various fabrics, Scarabs, other amulets, and images of cats and cows. That is it for now. Stay tuned for another spirit guide of the week.

That was Old Dun Cow by the Brobdingnagian Bards. So, what do you think of all this Witch Core? Do you think it's just a passing fad? Personally, I'm okay with it. However, I believe true self-empowerment doesn't come from owning material things; it comes from within. Being a pagan is a path of self-discovery, not about accumulating lots of crystals or tarot cards. You can still be a pagan and use your fingers for a wand, for example. It's more about what you learn and how well you know your true inner self. What I do appreciate about Witch Core is the empowerment aspect, but not when it's overly commercialized. Furthermore, there's the ethical concern about the origin of the crystals or other witchy items we buy. Are they sourced from places with child labor? What materials are they made from – plastic or synthetic perfume if you’re into aromatherapy, for example? What are your thoughts on this? Anyway, there is a lot of information on Witchcore on the web, and of course, on social media sites like TikTok. Now, it's time for some more music: Crystal Mountain by Elane.

Here's another dream symbol to interpret. There are only two this week: Crowd and Boyfriend. If you dreamt of being in a crowd, it may mean you need some alone time. Having a dream where you feel alienated from a crowd or distance yourself suggests feelings of being alienated. Dreaming of a pleasant and well-coordinated crowd signifies a strong social support network. If you dream of facing an overwhelming crowd, it suggests that you are feeling burdened by the concerns and issues that surround you. Dreaming of defying the crowd suggests a tendency to go against the norm. Seeing your boyfriend in a dream reflects your relationship and emotions towards him. If you dream that your boyfriend is walking away while you socialize with your friends may indicate that you are not spending enough time with them. If your boyfriend marrying someone else in your dream, it signifies an important change in the relationship. Dreaming of a new boyfriend represents a desire for change in your current relationship. If you dream of pretending to be someone's boyfriend, it means you're not ready for a commitment. And dreaming that your boyfriend is dead suggests that something within yourself is no longer functional and has ceased to exist. If you want a dream symbol to interpret and maybe have a dream symbol featured, I will mention the contact information at the end of this show. So keep dreaming.
