What it's All About:
Aside from the fact that there are many different pagan paths, there are also pagans of every skin color, gender, and sexual orientation. Among the pagans out there are those who are polyamorous and proud of it. Throughout this podcast, I will explore this lifestyle in more detail.

That's Midnight Starr (with two r's) and the number two. Let's now discuss polyamorous pagans. I am not one of those because I am always the third wheel in my friendships. It would be the same if I were in a polyamorous relationship, which I am not interested in. As a result, I apologize to a Pansexual pagan I used to know who I spoke to several years ago about this topic. If she listens, she knows who she is. Because I am an ADHD pagan, I felt like I didn't value her positive experience with it because I was expressing my views on the subject. Nonetheless, polyamory is not for everyone. Let's keep going with more music. We Are Love by Ginger Ackley would be great. Here it is.

First, let's clarify some misconceptions about polyamory. It is neither polygamy nor polyandry. You all know that polygamy is when a husband has more than one wife. In the western world, it's looked down upon because of high profile fringe groups that take in child brides. However, there are polygamists who are consenting adults. Polyandry refers to a woman who has more than one husband. It is rare in the world, but it does happen. A polyamorous relationship does not involve marriage, as do polygamy and polyandry. That is one key difference. It's all about three or more people having a loving relationship. And polyamorists can be straight, gay, bi, or any of the three combinations. There are people in this lifestyle who are in an open marriage and want to take on more partners. I know what you are all thinking: Polyamorists are swingers, right? No. The concept of polyamory refers to being in more than one relationship, whether it is emotional, loving, or sexual. In contrast, swingers do it for fun. The other thing that comes to people’s minds when they think of polyamory is that everyone in this relationship has sex at the same time. Truth be told, it's not always the case. In all cases, where one partner is not up to it, the other can call on their second partner. Yet, Polyamory and Paganism do go hand in hand. I’ll explain more after the spirit guide of the week. Let's move on to more music: Lips of Love by Inkubus Sukkubus.

A listener on Quora requested this deity. I am going back to ancient Egypt to talk about the god Amon. He originated from Libya and moved to Egypt where he is beloved. He is the father of pharaohs and the deity of the masses. A pharaoh named Hatshepsut claimed to be the son of Amon. He is the lord of the west. The west is the place where the sun sets and becomes night in ancient Egyptian cosmology. Ammon controls the gates to the realm of the night. Also, he is a double-headed lion of truth. It indicates yesterday and tomorrow. His most famous oracle was located at the Oasis of Siwa. When Alexander the Great arrived in Egypt in 331 BCE, this was his first stop. The oracle did mention his divine origins. What you can offer Ammon on your altar are the following: Incense and one of many perfumes named that bears his name in his honor. That is it for now. Stay tuned for another spirit guide of the week.

That was Light Divine by Flora Wares. Before I proceed, I would like to point out that not all pagans are polyamorous. That is something I can attest to. And not all polyamorous people are pagan. But there are similarities between the two. The first similarity between the two communities is that they are not mainstream ideologies. They are both marginalized in society. The pagan religion is more of an alternative religion. Polyamory, on the other hand, is an unconventional lifestyle choice. In addition, there is multiplicity. In paganism, you can choose from a variety of paths. Not to mention the many deities to worship. Polyamory has a wide range of people with different needs, personalities, and skills. Both communities overlap with each other. There will be someone who is new to polyamory who meets up with someone who introduces them to join paganism and vice versa. Otherwise, both communities overlap. Their overlap is due to the same founders. I'm not referring to Gardner here. Oberon and Morning Glory Ravenheart Zell, both from the United States, are the founders. They built the pagan temple The Church of all Worlds. Here, they created the template for all ceremonies involving multiple partners. The term polyamory was also popularized here. You can learn more about Pagan Polyamory by reading Raven Kaldera's book Pagan Polyamory: Becoming a Tribe of Hearts. This book's link can be found in the show notes. Here is Helouise Pilkington with One Heart.

Here's another dream symbol to interpret. In this week's dream symbol, there are four: Time, Tangle, Mandala and Detective. Time in a dream typically represents your worries about being unable to handle the responsibilities of daily life. A dream in which you ran out of time denotes pressure, worry, and panic. The dream of time passing quickly or slowly is a metaphor for maturing and getting older. Being entangled in anything in a dream represents disarray or disorder in your real life. Typically, seeing a mandala in your dreams foresees great changes for your waking life. Typically, a diamond in dreams represents self-completeness. If you received diamond jewelry in a dream, it represents devotion, love, and loyalty. Losing the jewelry in a dream foretells trouble with your romantic partner. If you had a dream about a fake diamond indicates that you are attempting to pass for someone you are not. And to dream of diamond shapes represents the variety of paths you can pursue in life.

Time for another myth. I'm back at worldoftales.com. It's a Native American story called Ikotmi's Blanket.

Before the story you heard Diamonds Out of Dust by Sharon Knight and Pandemonaeon.
