Welcome to another episode of the Music from the Goddess' Vault Podcast. I am your host, Midnight Starr. Let's embark on an episode brimming with fantastic tunes, starting with Free Alone by Celia. As we explore various sounds and genres, let's uncover the hidden gems within the Goddess' Vault. The topic of today’s show is all about Solitary Witches. In the previous episode and on Facebook, I mentioned two polls for your input. One is for selecting a new logo, while the other asks about which episodes you'd like to see revisited. The polls will stay open for a month, providing ample opportunity for voting. Despite some platforms, like Substack, will only allow the pols to be up for one week only. The winning logo will compete with new designs next month, and the selected episode will air again with updated information. Don't miss the opportunity to make your voice heard! You can cast your vote on Substack, the blog, the Facebook page, Spotify for Podcasters, Podbean, Mastodon, and Twitter. Your participation matters, so make sure to participate and let your opinion count. Now, let's discuss The Abortion Access Pagan Music Project and their successful fundraising for The Red Album. Donations are still being accepted via the GoFundMe page in the show notes, supporting charities that improve women's reproductive health. Attention Canadian Pagan musicians! I want to hear from you if you're looking to share your music with the world. Reach out, and your tunes could be featured on the Music from the Goddess' Vault Podcast, gaining new fans and increasing your exposure. Musicians from outside Canada are also welcome to showcase their talent on the podcast. Just get in touch with me. Subscribe to the newsletter at musicgoddessvault.substack.com to stay up to date with the latest episodes and gain access to past shows for a fee of $7 a month or $70 a year. Got a suggestion for a show topic, spirit guide, or dream symbol? Reach out to me on my blog or through social media platforms like Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Mastodon, and Pixelfed. Now for the topic: Solitary Witches. Being a solitary witch is a personal choice or a necessity when unable to find a coven. It involves practicing and exploring the magical arts independently, shaping our rituals, beliefs, and spiritual journey to fit our preferences and needs. While it may feel challenging without the camaraderie of a coven, being a solitary witch can be empowering and liberating, granting us the freedom to explore our unique path of witchcraft. Before we continue, let's enjoy the song Lonely by In Legend. It sets the perfect mood for our exploration of the world of witchcraft, adding an evocative touch to our experience.

We're all familiar with the idea of a solitary witch, so I won't go into its meaning here. Nevertheless, there are many pagans who prefer to practice their craft alone, and that's perfectly fine. In fact, some individuals have various reasons for not wishing to be part of a coven. However, there are times when a solitary pagan does want to come together with others to celebrate the Sabbats, and that is perfectly okay. While they typically enjoy their independent practice, they may still feel a desire to gather with like-minded individuals during these special occasions. This desire for shared experiences and communal celebration, while maintaining their solitary nature on a day-to-day basis, is completely acceptable and should be respected within the pagan community. In essence, the path of a solitary witch offers diverse possibilities. It grants individuals the freedom to explore and develop their spirituality on their own terms, without the constraints or obligations of group dynamics. However, this doesn't imply a complete aversion to communal experiences, as even solitary pagans can find joy and enrichment in coming together during certain moments of celebration and reflection. Ultimately, the choice to practice alone or engage with others is a personal one, and both paths hold their own unique value and significance.
In the following segment, I will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of being a solitary witch. But before we delve into that, let's enjoy some more music: Power of the Witch by Incubus Sukkubus.

Time for another Spirit Guide of the Week. I am going back to the animal kingdom to talk about the leopard. If the leopard was your totem animal, its essence ignites within you. Spend a day off alone to discover your rhythm and find comfort in nature. Taking breaks and engaging in self-nurturing leisure activities is crucial during intense periods. If the leopard is your spirit animal, keep your goals private and don't share too much about them. Visions and dreams may be the key, guiding you towards what you seek. Determination and resilience shall pave the path, overcoming hurdles with each passing day. When seeking protection, invoke your spirit animal, the leopard, as it embodies strength and agility. Pursue your goals, overcome strife, embrace the new cycle in your life. With the Totem Animal Leopard, your power and grace embody the essence of the swift sprinter, achieving great feats and fulfilling your needs. Mystery surrounds your enigmatic nature, while your sensitivity brings deep wholeness to your being. And Power Animal Leopard's spirit serves as your guide. With these insights, you find your way, in the realms where totem animals play. That is it for now, stay tuned for another spirit guide of the week

That was Snow Leopard by Unto Ashes. Whether you're already practicing solo or considering this path, understanding both sides can offer valuable insights. Let's explore the pros and cons of being a Solitary Witch. First, the Pros of being a Solitary Witch:
Independence: As a solitary witch, you enjoy working on your own, relying on your intuition and personal choices without external interference.
Self-Responsibility: You take full responsibility for your actions, rituals, and spiritual growth, cultivating self-reliance and empowerment.
Customization and Flexibility: You can create your own rituals, traditions, and rules that resonate with your unique spiritual path, adapting and evolving your practices as you see fit.
Cultivate Discipline: Without an external structure or hierarchy, you develop your own discipline, strengthening your commitment and dedication to your craft.
Embrace Free Will: You have the freedom to explore various spiritual paths, traditions, and practices without being constrained by a specific dogma or belief system.
Personal Growth: The solitary path provides numerous opportunities for personal growth, pushing you to step out of your comfort zone, discover new perspectives, and deepen your connection with yourself.
Embrace Change: You welcome the ongoing evolution and transformation of your practice, adapting to new knowledge, experiences, and insights.
No Dealing with Cliques or Hierarchy: You are free from dealing with social dynamics, cliques, or hierarchical structures.
Honesty and Transparency: You can develop a genuine and transparent relationship with yourself and your spiritual practice, without secrets or hidden agendas.
Now, the cons:
Lack of Community and Support: You might feel isolated and miss the sense of community support that comes with practicing in a group setting.
Potential Loneliness: Walking this path alone can sometimes lead to feelings of loneliness, with limited opportunities for shared experiences or engaging with like-minded individuals.
No Rule Book: Without a specific set of guidelines or a structured tradition to adhere to, you might feel uncertain or overwhelmed as you navigate your path without a clear rule book.
Lack of External Accountability: Self-motivation becomes vital as you solely depend on your inner drive and discipline without the external accountability that a group offers.
Struggling with Dogma: You might face challenges in discovering your own spiritual path and defining your personal dogma while exploring various beliefs and practices.
Potential Loss of Motivation or Interest: Without the support and energy of a group, you may experience moments of reduced motivation or interest in your practice, requiring self-motivation and inspiration.
Choosing to practice witchcraft solo or in a coven is up to you. Solitary witches may occasionally join coven activities to avoid isolation and stay connected with a community, enhancing their independent journey. The internet provides numerous resources for solitary pagans. Explore websites and forums for valuable insights and practices tailored to individual witch's paths. Immerse yourself online to enrich your knowledge.
Now, let's return to the fascinating realm of music! I am delighted to present a spellbinding tune: We are the Witches by Crow Women.

Here's another dream symbol to interpret. Once again, this week there are four: Video Camera, Reporter, Waiting, and Washing. The dream of using a video camera indicates a need for greater objectivity in decision-making. The presence of someone using a video camera in your dream suggests that you are revisiting memories and reflecting on your personal history. Dreaming of being a reporter signifies a need for objectivity and avoiding favoritism in a particular situation. Waiting in dreams reflects power dynamics, control issues, and the balance between dependence and independence. Dreaming that you are patient while waiting signifies your understanding that certain things unfold in their own time and at their own pace. While impatience in dreams implies excessive demands and unrealistic expectations. Reevaluate your patience and adjust expectations as needed. If you dreamt of keeping someone else waiting, it implies that you may be taking advantage of that person's time or patience in some way. If you dreamt of washing yourself, it signifies a sense of pride and satisfaction in your social life and personal achievements. Dreaming of hand-washing represents a pressing issue needing attention and resolution. If you dreamt of washing your feet, it signifies a readiness for a major life change. And in your dream, if you found yourself washing your car, it symbolizes that your current challenges will soon fade away. If you want a dream symbol to interpret and maybe have a dream symbol featured, I will mention the contact information at the end of this show. So keep dreaming.
