Now, for the topic: The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Way before Wicca and Paganism became popular again, there was the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. I’ll explain more about their history and how they influenced Wicca and Paganism today.

But before I go into that, let's enjoy some more music. How about The Golden Dawn by Golden Gardens?

In 1887 in London, England, William Wynn Westcott, who was a freemason, was given the Cipher Manuscripts, which he deciphered. The Cipher Manuscript contained a set of detailed rituals. William Wynn Westcott, a Freemason from London, deciphered this manuscript and got the idea to form an organization. He didn't do it all by himself, though; he asked for help from William Robert Woodman and Samuel Liddell Mathers, both of whom had expertise in different mystical traditions. By the end of 1888, the order had 32 members. In its early years, the Golden Dawn mainly operated as a theoretical school. They held initiation ceremonies and taught students about different topics, such as Qabalah, Astrology, Tarot, and Alchemical symbols. The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn had some famous members, such as poet W.B. Yeats, Sherlock Holmes' creator, Author Conan Doyle, and Aleister Crowley, to name a few. As we reflect on it’s history, I believe that the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn continues to exist even today Now, let’s get into some music: The Druid Ritual of Oak by Elvenking.

Time for another Spirit Guide of the Week. I am going back to ancient Egypt to talk about the Goddess Sekhmet. Sekhmet is the goddess of war, justice, destruction, healing, and plagues. She is known as the lioness goddess for her combination of ferocity and healing abilities. What makes Sekhmet even more intriguing is that she's connected to the Eye of Ra, symbolizing the power of the sun. Her name may come from words like "strong," "powerful," and "mighty." In Egyptian mythology, Sekhmet's breath is said to have created the desert, showcasing her destructive side. Surprisingly, this same fierce nature also makes her a potent healer. She's known for appearing unexpectedly in dreams and visions, especially to aid in healing rituals. Her influence extends to women's reproductive systems and menstrual cycles. While she's often linked to healing blood-related illnesses, it's essential to note that she can heal various ailments, except for eye-related conditions. For those interested in honoring Sekhmet on their altar, you can offer items like incense, arrows, silver medical tools, or even beer, either on its own or mixed with pomegranate juice. That is it for now. Stay tuned for another spirit guide of the week.

That was Jar with a song which I am going to translate into English as To the Fire, Madame.

As for how the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn influenced paganism today, well, this was hard for me to research because there is not much information about it on the web. However, the way that the Order of the Golden Dawn is organized is more complex for me to talk about. But I did mention one person, whom some pagans today like, while others don’t, and that is Aleister Crowley. He was in the Order for a brief time before he left because of some disagreements that he had with some of the members. The father of Wicca, Gerald Gardner, was influenced by both Crowley, Freemasonry, and the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. There are some magical elements in Wicca whose origins can be traced back to the Golden Dawn itself. I wish that I could tell you what they are, but I couldn't find that information on the web. I know that there are a few pagans out there who were a part of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. If so, did you find any of its influence on Wicca? If so, what is it? Let’s get to some more music: Moon and the Nightspirit with Alkonyvaraz , or the translation, "Twilight Magic."

Here's another dream symbol to interpret. Here are the three Machinery, Maple, and Marijuana. If you dream of machinery, it might mean you're acting on autopilot, not really thinking things through, especially when making decisions. Dreaming of a rusty machine indicates an old-fashion approach to doing something. If you dream that the machinery requires repair, it may indicate a need to overhaul your self-esteem or a relationship. In dreams, maple usually symbolizes modesty, affection, and honesty. A maple tree falling in your dream signifies family discord and severed relationships. Seeing a maple leaf symbolizes the significance of each of your five senses and the experiences they can bring. Dreaming of seeing or smelling marijuana indicates an enhanced perception and mindfulness. If you dreamed of using marijuana, it suggests you may be attempting to avoid reality. And if you dream that someone else is using marijuana or pressuring you to use it, means that something negative may be affecting your life. If you want a dream symbol to interpret and maybe have a dream symbol featured, I will mention the contact information at the end of this show. So keep dreaming.
