What it's All About:
Draconic Wicca is a mysterious religion that emphasizes self-reliance. It is based on the belief that true power comes from within, and that one's own strength and protection comes from the power of draconic order. This order is found in dark and dark places, in the shadows and in the darkness of the soul. The Draconic Wicca lifestyle is about self-reliance and self-improvement, and it is often seen as a way to find and access power over the world. I'll explore this more on the podcast.

Welcome to another episode of the Music From the Goddess’ Vault Podcast. I am your host, Midnight Starr. Yes, that is my Pagan Podcast name. That song was Tiny Red Dragon, by Galloping Coroners. I'm not sure what the Hungarian translation of Galloping Coroners or their song is because I struggle with remembering, reading and pronouncing Hungarian words. I can speak a little bit of it though. But enough about me. Let's talk about Draconian or Draconic Wicca on today's show. But first, I am now on Mastodon. You can find me @goddessvault@witches.live. You can also find me @goddessvault1@podcastaboutli.st. But I prefer the witches.live link. For those who are unaware, Mastodon is a Twitter alternative. It’s different from Twitter, so there’s a bit of a learning curve. This microblogging site focuses on community, and each Server (Or Instance as they call it) has rules to follow. But I’ll still be on Twitter @goddessvault. If you love this show, you can become a supporter of the Music From the Goddess’ Vault Podcast on glow.fm. You can pay five dollars a month, $50 a year, or a one time fee of 20 bucks. To do this, please visit: http://www.glow.fm/musicfromthegoddessvaultpodcast. You can also make a donation to http://www.ko-fi.com/goddessvault or http://www.patreon.com/goddessvault. You can stay up-to-date on the latest from the Music From the Goddess’ Vault Podcast by signing up for my newsletter. You will be informed as soon as new shows are released. You can access past episodes by paying seven dollars per month or seventy dollars per year. Or you can subscribe for free at http://musicgoddessvault.substack.com. That's http://musicgoddessvault.substack.com. And finally, if you have any suggestions for this show, you can contact me through the blog https://goddessvault1.wixsite.com/home. Now for the topic: Draconian or Draconic Wicca. Similar to the last show, my inclination is that there's more to it than just worshiping dragons. This type of Wicca has a psychological component. Thinking of it, paganism involves some psychological elements to them. Let’s look further into this subject after you listen to In the House of Mama Dragon by S.J. Tucker.

Despite my best efforts, I'm having trouble uncovering the history of Draconic Wicca. But I will explain what it is. It is the dragon’s path. To the practitioners, they represent chaos and destruction. It is believed that dragons are not of this world, but rather, nature spirits. They possess power and wisdom that is beyond our understanding. They can even represent the four elements. What's more, there are flying Dragons which represent air, they breathe fire, and there are also sea and earth Dragons. This makes it easy to do rituals and spell work. The main idea of Draconian Wicca is to work with the power of the dragon. Just like you'd use the power of the deity you're worshiping. In this spirit path, the dragon is the god or goddess, or gender neutral if you prefer it that way. I want to explain more about Draconic Paganism. But I want to get to some more music: Dragon of the Deep by Alexander James Adams.

It's time for another spirit guide of the week. I am back in East Asia talking about the Dragon King of the Four Seas. He is the chief, lord and master of water. He's the sea god for those who man the ships and cast their lines. This king rules over seas and rivers. The Dragon King also controls the rain. He has the power to make storms and stop water. He can help or hurt farmers by controlling the rain. The Dragon King has a great underwater castle with his family and crabs and lobsters that are part of his court. He and his family are pretty skilled magicians and expert shape shifters. The King of Dragons got a beautiful daughter that's always shown in human form riding on a dragon. Korean myth has it that he's just as powerful as the mountain spirit, a symbol of yin and yang. Want to call the Dragon King of the Four Seas? Just whisper or talk to the fish when you're giving them food. If you got an aquarium, this is great. If you don't, why not head to the nearest pond, river or sea to feed some fish. That is it for now. Stay tuned for another spirit guide of the week.

That was Bran Cerddorion with the King of Dreams. If one wishes to learn Draconian Wicca, it is usually done through an experienced teacher passing down knowledge to a willing student. By learning about the dragon, they attempt to form a close bond with their creature. Draconic Wiccans don't usually say 'coven', they say 'clan' when referring to their group. Draconian Witchcraft, unlike other Wiccan paths, doesn't recognize or celebrate the phases of the moon. The types of dragons they worship can be from any cultural mythology.
They practice dragon magic. Yet, it could take many forms, such as ceremonial, or any other magical ritual. Nonetheless, it can be quite an intense experience, so you should be careful. There are a variety of methods people can use to find their own dragon. They might come to you in a dream, you might see signs everywhere, when you meditate, or you might be drawn to them energetically - there are lots of ways I don’t practice Draconic Wicca. But one of my spirit guides is a dragon. I was doing my shadow work when I first bumped into this mythical creature. After some years, I crossed paths with it again while I was doing a meditation out of the book Pagan Anger Magic. Another deity (Which I will not mention here) also showed up around the same time as my dragon. Later, to my great surprise, I discovered that my dragon had some type of connection to that deity. If you're interested in learning more about Draconic Wicca, you can always find out more info by using the power of Google. I also have some book recommendations in the show notes. Here’s Jana Runnalls with Dragonlines.

Here's another dream symbol to interpret. Once again, there are three: Maggot, Mail, and Mail Courier. Maggots in dreams are usually symbolic of a person's fear of dying. If you stepped on maggots in a dream, this suggests shame and depravity. Or it may refer to your fortitude, perseverance, and capacity to overcome difficulty. When you have a dream of maggots coming out of your mouth, it may be a sign that you are not taking responsibility for the statements you have made. If you got mail in your dream, it shows that you need to get in touch with someone from your past or present. Receiving mail from a stranger in your dream represents communication from your unconscious. If the mail gets lost in your dream, it may be a sign that you are experiencing loneliness or exclusion in the real world. In dreams, Mail Carriers represent the ways you communicate with others. Dreaming that the mail carriers haven't brought you any mail indicates disappointment in some area of your life. If you dream you deliver mail but are not actually a mail carrier in real life, maybe your subconscious is trying to communicate with you. If you want a dream symbol to interpret and maybe have a dream symbol featured, I will mention the contact information at the end of this show. So keep dreaming.

Time for a nice, deep, and relaxing meditation. Again, if you are doing something that needs your attention, please skip ahead. I don’t know which album this track comes from, but it's from the Honest Guys called A Guided 4 Minute Time-Out: Be Still.

Before the meditation, you heard Open Letter to You by Tuatha Dea.
