What it's All About:
In this episode, we explore the Covenant of the Goddess (CoG), a cross-traditional Wiccan organization dedicated to fostering cooperation and unity among witches. With over one hundred affiliated covens and congregations, CoG provides a vital platform for solitary Wiccan practitioners to come together.
CoG's primary mission is to secure legal protections for witches, much like those enjoyed by members of other religions. Member covens typically focus on the veneration of the Goddess and the Old Gods or solely the Goddess, following common Wiccan practices. Notably, CoG operates through a consensus-based decision-making process, ensuring autonomy for all its members.

Welcome to another episode of the Music from the Goddess’ Vault Podcast. I'm your host, Midnight Starr. You just enjoyed the song Goddess, Help Them by Mr. E. It's part of the Red Compilation. Today, this show is all about the Covenant of the Goddess. But before I go into that, let's start with some fun stuff! I've got two exciting polls for you. One lets you help choose the new logo, and the other invites you to pick old episodes for a revisit. You can vote in the show notes or by scanning QR codes on the blog and Substack page. Your voice matters! These polls run for a month, and next month, I'll reveal the winning logo and episode, along with fresh content. Don't wait – join in today! Now, for a quick update on the logo poll: There is finally a winner, and it's in the number one spot with four new contenders. As for the old episode, well, no one chose any of them, which is fine. I now have some old Samhain episodes for you to choose from if you want to hear one of them again. Don't miss this chance to revisit some classic shows. Your vote can shape the future of this podcast, so make your voice heard! If you are a new listener, you can join in as well. Just vote for the one that you find intriguing. Once again, you can find the links to both polls in the show notes. Calling all Canadian Pagan musicians! You can get your tunes heard on the Music from the Goddess' Vault Podcast. This is another group of pagans, and I'll explain more about their history and why they came into existence. I'll get into this topic after we listen to another song from the Red Album. This one is Goddess Calling by Meren King.

You know, in the 1970s, more and more people were slowly becoming interested in Witchcraft. This was due to both the feminist and environmental movements that were taking place at the time. In the spring of 1975, a group of Wiccans from various traditions founded a religious organization for all witches called the Covenant of the Goddess. By October 1975, after the creation of some bylaws, the Covenant of the Goddess officially became a non-profit religious organization. I'll explain more about what they do after Gayla Saldano and Goddess of the Night.

Time for another Spirit Guide of the Week. I am going back to Greece to talk about the Goddess Leto. She is the goddess of families, mothers, and children. Leto is also the goddess of the grave and a wolf goddess. In fact, her sacred creature is the wolf. However, she is mostly known as one of many of Zeus’ conquests. Leto is the Granddaughter of Gaia and Uranus. Her mother is the Titan Phoebe, and her father is Pole Star Polos. She is also the mother of Apollo and Artemis. And you already know that Zeus is the father of both of her kids. There are many myths about the birth of her children, one being that Hera cursed Leto so that she would only be able to give birth in a place where the sun doesn’t shine. She was once a primary deity of the Anatolian kingdom of Lyka, which is now modern-day Turkey. All in all, Leto is a powerful witch who is capable of taking care of herself. That is it for now. Stay tuned for another spirit guide of the week.

That was Wolf Country by Elana Lowe. In contrast, the Covenant of the Goddess was founded to cultivate a welcoming community for Wiccans and Witches of all traditions. Their mission is to facilitate collaboration, support, and ethical conduct through dialogue and community engagement. Functioning as a valuable resource for all aspects of Wicca and Witchcraft, the Covenant offers a range of services, including a newsletter, sponsorship of festivals, public rituals, conferences, and more. Additionally, this organization provides youth awards, sponsorships for College and University Student Groups, and legal assistance for individuals who have experienced discrimination. At the regional level, many of the Covenant’s activities are overseen by local councils, with nine such councils operating in various states. As a non-profit religious organization, the Covenant of the Goddess boasts a global advocacy presence, making a significant impact on the modern Pagan community. They also do a lot of other things that are too numerous to mention here. For more information about the Covenant of the Goddess, you can visit their website at C-O-G.org. This remarkable organization consistently achieves meaningful initiatives. Let's enjoy some music. I have Gaia’s Voice with the Goddess/Water Medley.

Here's another dream symbol to interpret. Once again there are three: Handcuffs, Hard Drive, and Hat. Dreaming of being in handcuffs it implies that an obstacle or someone may be hindering your path to success. If you dream of witnessing someone in handcuffs or placing handcuffs on another person, it may indicate that you're displaying possessive behavior. If you dreamt of yourself or someone else wore fuzzy handcuffs, it suggests that you are prepared to deepen a relationship. When you dream about encountering a hard drive, it signifies memories from the past, your skills, and your life experiences. Dreaming of erasing or formatting a hard drive suggests that you're attempting to embrace a new identity. If you dreamed of your hard drive crashing, it signifies that you're feeling swamped with information. Dreaming of wearing or seeing a hat suggests that you are keeping a part of yourself hidden or concealing something. Changing hats in a dream symbolizes shifting opinions and thoughts. And dreaming of wearing various hats signifies the multitude of roles you play in your daily life. If you want a dream symbol to interpret and maybe have a dream symbol featured, I will mention the contact information at the end of this show. So keep dreaming.

Time for another myth. Here's another story from worldoftales.com. This one is from North America, and it's called Iktomi and the Muskrat.

That was Oars in the Water by Leslie Hudson. Before that, you heard Harold Carter with Last Hat Standing. That's it for this show. Again, I'm your host, Midnight Starr. Thank you all for joining me. I'm excited to invite you to participate in two exciting polls that will shape the future of the podcast. First, we have a poll for selecting the new logo. Cast your votes using the links in the show notes or scan the QR codes on the blog or Substack page. Make your voice heard and let your opinion matter! I will reveal the winning logo next month, and that will have new challengers. Here’s the update: there is a winner from August that is now in the number one spot. Second, I have another poll where you get to choose the episode to revisit. Take this opportunity to influence the content you want to hear again. Cast your votes, and I will present the chosen episode next month with updated insights and content. Another update is that no one voted for an old Mabon episode to re-air next month. So I've got some old Samhain ones that you might want to take a look at or hear for the first time. The polls will remain open for a month, giving you plenty of time to participate. Join in now, and together, let's shape the future of the Music from the Goddess' Vault Podcast! Do you have an idea for a show topic, spirit guide, or dream symbol? Share it on the website at https://goddessvault1.wixsite.com/home and on social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Mastodon. If you're a Canadian Pagan musician, I'd love to hear from you. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me! I can't wait to discover and play more Canadian Pagan music! If you want to be the first to hear the latest episode, you can sign up for the newsletter at https://musicgoddessvault.substack.com. To end this show, I’m going to play this classic by Kellianna - I Walk with the Goddess. Blessed be.
